Our director, Jodie Brenton and the Life Resolutions team have some tips and tricks for making the most of your new normal. Our head psychologist, Mary Magalotti and the Life Resolutions team aim to support all Australians no matter their working situation.
Jodie Brenton’s Advice for Working from Home:
1. Scheduling is key – Plan to start and finish work at a set time as well as taking scheduled breaks. While you are working from home, be careful you don’t take your work ‘home’. Only do work-related tasks during your allocated time. This will minimise excessive stress and burnout.
2. Check lists are great – having a list and updating it can help keep you motivated and on task. While working from home can be distracting, being able to cross off when you complete a task can help you stay on track.
3. Your mental health is priority – While the pressures of work are there, it is important to put yourself first and stay healthy. Take note of how you are feeling each day and seek support if you feel you need it!
